UPDATE- Friday, March 6, 2026
The Town of Wells continues to receive updates from the Wells Sanitary District regarding the sewer force main in the Wells Harbor area.
Divers working on behalf of the Wells Sanitary District have located the damaged section of pipe and repairs are underway. Crews have completed repairs to one portion of the line and continue to assess additional areas.
Water samples collected earlier this week show no detectable levels of fecal coliform (< 1.0) upstream and downstream of the pipe breaks. There are still no interruptions to sewer service. As a precaution, clam flats remain closed through this weekend as additional testing continues.
The Town will provide updates as additional information becomes available.
