Cable TV Studio Equipment Operator

Would you like to learn to operate the equipment in the Channel 3 studio? Weekly municipal board/committee meetings are broadcast live by volunteers. Commitment - As much as desired.

Grant Reviewer

The town is seeking an individual who has experience in reviewing and commenting on proposed grants written by town employees to help enhance and increase our ability to successfully obtain the grant.

Public Awareness Assistant

The Wells Town Manager is looking for a volunteer who is good at communicating in written format and can transmit written press releases to large media outlets including social media. Ability to write concisely, grasp issues, and develop a working relationship with the Town Manager and his staff to present both public interest stories and weekly news stories of local government affairs to residents and businesses in Wells but also to areas outside the Town would be ideal.

Recreation Department

Work with Recreation Department staff to assist with recreational programs and various tasks. Commitment - Flexible.

Transportation Center

The Transportation Center is seeking volunteers to staff the Downeast Station to assist riders in the morning, and on weekends. If you are interested, please contact Brent Marriner at 207-646-4793 or 337-2742.

Wells Ogunquit Historical Society

The Historical Society of Wells and Ogunquit is seeking members of our community to help with guided tours of our collection of artifacts from local families, fishermen, farms and businesses to tell the story of Wells and Ogunquit. Our tour guides volunteer for one or two tour sessions per month. Each tour takes 30-40 minutes; training provided. Please email Julia Einstein, or call 646-4775 for more information

Wells Road Rangers

Do you hate the litter scarring our roadsides? This grass roots program meets once a week on Thursdays at 9:30AM for one hour to remove debris from Wells roadsides (weather permitting). Anyone is welcome to join the Wells Road Rangers. The Town of Wells is donating safety vests to wear and providing large trash bags which the Wells Public Works Department picks up later in the day...no need to bring them to the Transfer Station, we take care of that for you!
