The Maine Department of Transportation (Maine DOT) is seeking public input on proposed safety improvements to the intersection of Route 109, Route 9, and Garden Street in Wells. The intersection will be realigned into a four-way configuration, and a new traffic signal will be installed.
An on-demand public meeting presentation is available on Maine DOT's Public Meetings Page, where residents can view the proposal and submit comments directly. The formal public comment period runs from July 28 through August 13, 2025.
MDOT encourages all interested parties to review the presentation and provide feedback. For questions or accommodations, contact Martin Rooney, Senior Project Manager, at martin.rooney@maine.gov or (207) 446-0364.
