Important Updates Regarding The Town of Wells and COVID-19:

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Town of Wells will be closing all municipal buildings, with the exception of essential services, until further notice (effective 3/23/2020 at 12:00pm EST). During this time, all staff will work remotely.

All essential services (public safety, public works and the transfer center) will remain open. Staffing at the Transfer Center is being adjusted to ensure regular hours of operation.

The Board of Selectmen will hold remote meetings, available to the public, every Tuesday at 6:00pm EST until further notice (more details to come regarding remote access for the public).

The Town Manager will request that the Governor take additional actions to address the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically regarding the standardization of public municipal government closures and State visitor restrictions.

The health and safety of our community remains our top priority. The actions set forth in this notice are necessary provisions to protect the citizens of Maine. Thanks for your cooperation.
