Our neighbors in Ogunquit will be conducting a dune restoration project at Ogunquit Beach beginning Monday, March 10, 2025. This process, known as beach scraping, involves carefully relocating sand from the beach to areas experiencing dune erosion to help restore and protect the coastal environment. Labbe Construction has been contracted for the project, and their primary access point will be the North Beach entrance near the Wells town line.
The work is expected to take about 30 days. Given the proximity to Moody Beach, you may notice some activity in the area.
Beachgoers, Please Be Aware:
- Signage will be posted to warn of active work zones.
- Give construction vehicles a wide berth and use extra caution while on the beach.
