Join Wells in honoring all those who lost their lives in wars defending our country at the 2024 Memorial Day Parade. The Wells Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 27th, with a parade kick off at 9:00 AM. The parade will march from Wells High School, down Sanford Road, to Ocean View Cemetery where a ceremony will take place.
During the ceremony, we will honor the graves of brothers Elbridge and Leroy Hanson, Co. I, 3rd Battalion, 39th Regiment, 4th Division, KIA, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, France October 1918. Musical performances by Atlantic Harmonies and the Wells Ogunquit School Jr/Sr High will take place.
If you are a veteran or are currently serving members of the Armed Forces, we invite you to join the Town of Wells along the parade route as we honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedoms and all who serve, past and present. RSVP’s are encouraged, but not required. We ask that those veterans participating meet at the Town Hall parking lot at 8:30 AM.
