Shellfish harvesting in Wells will be closed this Saturday and Sunday. Today, January 10, the state of Maine DMR served notice that due to high runoff conditions, all shellfish harvesting from the New Hampshire border north to Boothbay Harbor will be closed. Decisions on opening the flats will depend on test results expected to be available Sunday.
